Provisioning Pathway

The aim of this resource is to support the scripting and provisioning of powered wheelchairs to maximise user independence, social inclusion and feelings of wellbeing.

The powerchair provisioning process is framed in terms of maximising potential and enabling personal goals.

While funding rationales require understanding of clinical evidence, maximising a clients' quality of life requires an understanding of their interests, abilities and circumstances.

Magic Mobility powerchairs are designed for the needs of active powerchair users. These guidelines are most relevant for users who:

  • Want to maximise their personal independence

  • Need to spend extended periods in their powerchair

  • Seek access both to indoor and outdoor environments

This page provides an overview of therapists' potential involvement at each step of the provisioning process.
